Roger Federer has always felt at home on a green surface. Whether it was as a child on the football field or later as a tennis professional on the hallowed lawns of Wimbledon, Federer thrived. The Swiss maestro clinched the Grand Slam tournament title eight times – a record!

Over a year and a half ago, the now 42-year-old Federer bid farewell to tennis. His emotional departure took place at the Laver Cup 2022, where he was accompanied by his long-time rival and close friend, Rafael Nadal.

Roger Federer Can Also Play Golf

Federer, of course, cannot live without sports. Just a few months after his retirement, the Maestro was seen skiing for the first time in 15 years. “It feels good to be back on the slopes,” he wrote under an Instagram video at that time.

Now, it appears that the tennis legend has discovered yet another passion: golf! Under a post showing him taking a swing, Federer wrote, “Trying to pick up a new hobby. Wish me luck!”

The reactions were swift and enthusiastic. “Nice swing,” praised Germany’s national football player Thomas Müller. “Need a coach?” asked Nelly Korda, one of the world’s top golfers.

Even Carlos Alcaraz was impressed by Federer’s talent. “Is there anything you can’t do well?” inquired the young Spaniard, who is currently in the semifinals at the French Open. “Pretty sure you’ve already nailed it,” complimented Lindsey Vonn.

As Federer explores this new sport, fans and fellow athletes alike watch with keen interest, eager to see what heights he will reach on the golf course.
