PUMA V1.11 MUNICH
Puma have a habit of release some great looking limited edition boots such as the v1.815 Ferrari and Puma PowerCat Tokyo. Now, to mark this year’s Champions League Final being played in their own back yard, down the road in Munich, Puma release two very special editions of their v1.11 and PowerCat football boots with plenty of local pride on display.

Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and this special edition design is inspired by the feature the white and blue lozenge design of the Rautenflagge, the state flag and the official gold and black colours of the capital Munich.

Engineered for speed, the v1.11 Munich football boots are made from a premium microfibre synthetic that’s soft, lightweight and durable for superb ball feel and a snug fit. Held in place with an elastic strap and velcro fastening, the v1.11 Munich’s lace cover provides these Puma football boots with a smooth striking surface.

The carbon fibre plate incorporated in the TPU sole plate reduces the weight of the v1.11 and distributes pressure evenly on firm ground. The lightweight Pebax frame offers stability and also decreases the weight of these Puma football boots further while pointed studs give the v1.11 Munich reliable firm ground grip.

The 11/12 season has been one of the most successful for Puma’s speed boot silo, highlighted by their growing roster of European heavyweights including Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure & Mario Gomez. We can certainly expect to see Gomez wearing this colourway in the Final if Bayern Munich make it past Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The new Puma Munich boot collection including the White/Blue/Gold V1.11 and PowerCat 1.12 is available to pre-order from today.

PUMA V1.11 – CHARCOAL/WHITE/FLOU PEACH
We have seen some outlandish colourways since Puma launched their V series boots – especially on the V1.10. So far the V1.11 has been a little more understated and Puma have now released what is probably one of the V series most understated colourway – Charcoal/White/Flourescent Peach.

With the likes of Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez wearing the V1.11, Puma’s speed bot has become a major player in the speed boot market.

The v1.11 is the third generation football boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, providing the perfect fit by perfectly replicating the unique PUMA Aptolast.

A super soft premium lightweight microfiber upper material with covered central lacing provides a snug fit, smooth kicking area and excellent ball feel. The forefoot’s pressure is distributed optimally by the carbon fiber composite in the forefoot.

The new v1.11 boot‘s external heel counter and a Pebax frame provide support to the outsole. A TPU composite reinforces the midfoot area and helps avoid midfoot bending. The increased stability of the soleplate and pointed stud configuration enable optimal traction and manoeuvrability.

The Charcoal/White/Fluo Peach colourway will be available in both a synthetic upper as well as a K-Leather version.
PUMA V1.11 – FLUORESCENT PINK/NEW NAVY/WHITE
The V1.11 has performed well in the speed catagory despite being up against the Vapor and F50 ranges and boasts some of the games deadliest goal scorers with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez all wearing a boot that incorporates premium lightweight technologies. Having released five previous colourways, Puma have now unveiled their second white based colourway - Fluorescent Pink/New Navy/White .

PUMA V1.11 LADIES – PALACE BLUE WHITE/HOT CORAL

Puma have released their third ladies V1.11 colourway which follows on from their launch Vaporous Gray/Fluo Green/Midnight Navy and limited edition Pink colourway they released as part of their Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

Now this striking Palace Blue/White/Hot Coral colourway has arrived and we once again think that there will be a few men left disappointed that this is a ladies colourway.

PUMA V1.11 – DRESDEN BLUE/WHITE/LIME PUNCH
Tonight sees Liverpool host Premier League log leaders Manchester City in the Carling Cup holding a 1-0 lead. It is the perfect opportunity for City star Sergio Aguero to show off the new Dresden Blue/White/Lime Punch Puma V1.11 colourway.

We got to see a very quick glimpse at the new colourway over the weekend as South African skipper Steven Pienaar gave the new colourway a Premier League debut. This new colourway will be the first time Aguero has worn anything other the launch Green/Navy colourway since signing with the German giants.

We can look forward to seeing the new Dresden Blue/White/Lime Punch colourway – which will be available in the SL version as well - tonight after Aguero was spotted training in them with the rest of his Manchester City teammates this afternoon.

PUMA V1.11 YELLOW/PURPLE
PUMA today introduced the new Yellow/Purple colourway of its v1.11 football boot. The boot will launch on-pitch this weekend and will be worn by PUMA speed players including Steven Pienaar, Samuel Eto’o, Yaya Touré, Radamel Falcao, Mikel Arteta, Lucas Barrios, Stéphane Mbia and Emmanuel Eboué.

Continuing with the PUMA Speed theme, the v1.11 boot incorporates premium lightweight technologies that enable all kinds of movements while supporting the player’s speed to the maximum. Along with a full product range that includes gloves, tees, shorts and training wear, the new yellow and purple v1.11 hits stores in December (January 2012 in South Africa).

The central lacing which is underneath the lace cover makes the boot suitable for various footshapes, and the lace cover is held down by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener to ensure a snug fit that provides a smooth kicking area and a unique look. A carbon fiber composite in the forefoot helps provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility.

In addition, the new v1.1 boot enables greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration featured on this new boot.

In addition to the new v1.11 football boot, PUMA is also introducing a wide range of speed apparel and equipment products. These products have all been designed in the bright yellow and purple colour tone.

v3.11 Ball
The v3.11 is a high quality training ball. Constructed from 32 panels, each with an equal surface area, the design reduces seam stress and enables good shape retention. Handstitched dimpled PU panels have multilayered backings to enhance stability of ball flight, and aerodynamics. The latex bladder provides good air retention and a softness of touch, giving the player a great feel of the ball.

The new Yellow/Purple colourway is one we have seen before on ‘Kanji’ colourway off the V1.10. We got a glimpse at the new colourway originally when Puma launched their collection of African team kits ahead of the African Cup of Nations earlier this week. Bafana Bafana will play their first match in their stunning new strip and we expect South African skipper Steven Pienaar to also give the new V1.11 colourway their first run out after he was spotted training in them this afternoon.

PUMA ANNOUNCE FALCAO SIGNING
PUMA today announced the signing, on a long-term contract, of Radamel Falcao. Hot on the heels of Sergio Agüero, Falcao is the latest international star striker to join PUMA’s growing football player portfolio, meaning the sportlifestyle brand has signed two of the top three football transfers of 2011. Atlético Madrid’s record signing has chosen to wear the PUMA v1.11 Speed boot in the lead green colourway, and debuted the boot on pitch this weekend during Atlético Madrid’s game against Barcelona.

(Interestingly Falcao wore the V1.11SL for his first official game as a Puma player)
Falcao will feature prominently in PUMA’s global football communication as another top tier asset spearheading communication around the PUMA v1.11 Speed boot. With his pace, skill and trickery, he has made an explosive start to his La Liga career – scoring five goals in four games already this season, these attributes make him the perfect player for this marketing programme. Falcao joins Sergio Agüero, Samuel Eto’o, Mario Gomez, Ibrahim Afalley, Loic Remy and other lead players who have chosen the PUMA v1.11.

Speaking about the new partnership, Falcao said; “I have made two great moves this past couple of months, one to Atlético Madrid and the second to sign this partnership with PUMA. Both are big steps towards moving my career forward and achieving my goals. I have always had big ambitions in football – I am proud to be playing in La Liga, and working with PUMA on the global marketing campaigns they have developed is very exciting for me. I fully believe in the plans they have developed, and love the PUMA v1.11 boots.”
Christian Voigt, Senior Head of Global Sports Marketing at PUMA commented, “Falcao is another fantastic addition to our player roster in football. He is such an exciting talent, the impact he has made in La Liga already speaks volumes for his ability and determination to succeed. He was the top scorer of the Europa League last season and is quickly establishing himself as one of the top strikers in the game. PUMA has some big plans for Falcao in the coming months and years, which we’re very much looking forward to working on.”

The PUMA v1.11 Speed Boot that Falcao will wear is amongst the lightest football boots PUMA has ever made. It is the third generation boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, providing the perfect fit by perfectly replicating the unique PUMA Aptolast. In addition, the v1.11 enables greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration featured on this new boot. The PUMA v1.11 also features a super soft premium lightweight microfiber upper material. A carbon fiber composite in the forefoot helps provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility.
PUMA V1.11 BLACK/WHITE/BLAZING YELLOW
Puma unveiled the new V1.11 at the beginning of June. The upgraded speed boot landed in two great looking colourways as fans could buy either Green/Navy/White or White/Blue/Black boots. The new V1.11 has had an immediate impact on the Premier League with many players opting for the new V1.11 or their lighter sibling the V1.11SL. This includes Manchester City’s Argentinean pair Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez who have both been spotted wearing a black-out version of the V1.11.

Now Puma have released their next colourway and this one has a very familiar look to it. If you think you have seen this Black/White/Blazing Yellow colourway before you are mostly right as this colourway takes obvious inspiration from the Kehinde Wiley V1.1o boots launched in November 2009. Even without Kehinde’s touch these boots still look great and we can’t wait to see them on the pitch – and who will wear this colourway.

The V1.11 looks very similar to the V1.1o at first glance but Puma have added some great upgrades to make this boot a genuine competitor in the speed boot market. The upper is stitched rather than glued to the soleplate using special UNI technology which provides the perfect fit by replicating the unique PUMA Aptolast. Super soft premium lightweight microfiber upper material, which features central lacing, ensure a snug fit and provides a smooth kicking area, superb ball touch and a unique look. The new V1.11 colourway is now available for pre-order internationally but unfortunately will not be available here in South Africa.
