PUMA V1.10 & SL – OLYMPIAN BLUE/WHITE/EBONY
Puma’s V1.10 and SL range of boots have been a great success and have become known for their outrageous colourways and designs. Puma’s newest colourway is a little more understated as they unveil the new Olympian Blue/White/Ebony colourway.

The v1.10 II is an evolution of its successful V1.10 predecessor and for the first time features a fully lightweight microfiber synthetic upper. The lace cover creates a smooth kicking surface and a unique look whilst the injected TPU application on the formstrip adds stability to the shoe. The one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilizing a carbon fiber plate in the forefoot to minimize weight and to increase the reactivity in the flex area. The v1.10 II features the second generation of PUMA’s revolutionary UNI technology. This construction provides an industry leading fit by perfectly replicating the unique PUMA AptoLast. The v1.10 II was created with one thing in mind – to give you the confidence to be your fastest.
The new V1.10 II Olympian Blue/White/Ebony colourway is also available in a K-Leather version.

The v1.10 SL held the title of lightest production football boot for awhile before the AdiZero Prime wrestled it back. At just over 150 gram the v1.10 SL features a super soft and ultrathin premium microfiber upper material. The one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilizing a carbon fiber insert in the midfoot to minimize weight and to increase stability of the shoe. The v1.10 SL features the unique PUMA AptoLast which mimics the natural shape of the foot. The SL are only really worn by Inter Milan’s Samuel Eto’o and it seem that Puma may have created this colourway just for Eto’o as this colourway will be a perfect match for his Nerazzuri kit.
PUMA V1.10SL – FLUORESCENT ORANGE/BLUE ASTER/WHITE
The Puma V1.10 SL recently lost their crown as the lightest production boot to the Adidas AdiZero Prime. That hasn’t stopped them from being real eye-catchers and Puma have added to an already outrageous array of colourways with this new Fluorescent Orange/Blue Aster/White colourway.

You may remember the Fluorescent Orange/Blue Aster/White as we recently gave you an exclusive first look at this colourway on the V1.10 – which have been available in South Africa for a while now – here. (Unfortunately the SLs will not be available here.)
Puma have a knack of releasing great look colourways – with ridiculous sounding names – and we think they have done another brilliant job with the Fluorescent Orange/Blue Aster/White.
PUMA V1.10 & V1.10 SL – WHITE/POMPEIAN RED/BLACK
The V1.10 is a piece of design brilliance and even won the iF Product Design Award last year. We have profiled a lot of interesting colourways for the V1.10 but Puma’s latest release is simple and stylish. The new White/Pompeian Red/Black is available in both a synthetic and leather upper.

The V1.10 SL arrived on the boots scene in an odd way. Adidas had just released the AdiZero which claimed the title of ‘lightest boot in the world’ but Puma released this stripped out version of the V1.10 to take that title from the AdiZero. The strange part was how quietly they arrived. The SL still hasn’t made a lot of noise and only Samuel Eto’o wears them in Europe. That doesn’t stop them from being a very good and great looking boot. The new White/Pompeian Red/Black is a little less eye-catching than the two previous colourways and reminds us of the simple White/Blue/Black colourway they were launched in.

Unfortunately these boots will not be available in South Africa.
NEW PUMA V1.10 SL COLOURWAY
We recently profiled the new Puma V1.10 Parachute Purple/Ebony/Tender Shoots colourway on TRW and we are very happy to see that Puma have released the V1.10 SL in the colourway as well.

The SL has had a rather odd life. The boot had a very low key launch and arrived in a classy, but non eye-catching White/Royal Blue/Black colourway – despite being the lightest football boot on the planet. Puma did create a little more buzz with the launch of the SL Lightning Boot with the help of Usain Bolt. This new Parachute Purple/Ebony/Tender Shoots is another bold, wild colourway and is sure to attract attention – attention we think the SL definitely deserves!

PUMA V1.10 SL LIGHTNING BOOTS

Just a few weeks ago, Puma released the new V1.10 SL which took lightweight speed boots to another level. Weighing in at a miserly 150g, the SL took the ‘lightest boot in the world’ title off the highly successful Adidas AdiZero.

The V1.10 SL took inspiration from the v1.815 Ferrari concept boot and is a stripped out version of the original V1.10. Now Puma have released the second colourway of this groundbreaking boot; Team Yellow/Amazon Green/Black which was inspired by the national colours of Jamaica.
Why Jamaica? Well Puma have the fastest man on the planet on their books in the shape of Usain Bolt. The Olympic gold medal winner is an avid football fan and has been seen running in the African Unity Kit and ‘Tricks’ colourway inspired running shoes. It is no surprise then that Bolt and one of Puma’s most recognizable faces in football; Samuel Eto’o joined forces to inspire the design of this new boot.

Usain Bolt and Samuel Eto’o deliver the ultimate in speed, skill and performance and this is reflected in the new V1.10 SL Lightning. The bright colours of Jamaica are not the only stand out feature on the boot. Swarovski crystals embedded in the heel link it to the IAAF Diamond League while the Jamaican national motto “Out of Many, One People” is presented on the out-step.

The boot’s upper is an ultra-light abrasion resistant microfibre bounded to the Pebax external heel counter. A Carbon Fibre reinforced outsole gives the boot great strength and balance for your mid-foot.

These boots are truly eye-catching and an amazing technological achievement for Puma. The AdiZero has taken the footballing world by storm and we wait with expectation to see what the new Team Yellow/Amazon Green/Black V1.10 SL Lightning can do.

PUMA V1.10SL – THE LIGHTEST BOOT EVER!
Puma V1.10 speed boots have gone on diet – and now they are the lightest boots on the planet. Adidas recently released the AdiZero which made a huge splash in the World Cup pool because of their lightweight design and strength. Well the 165gram boot now looks like a fatty next to the trimmed down V1.10 SL (Super Light).

Puma have taken a light, well-built, eye-catching boot and stripped it out. The v1.10 SL is re-defining lightweight in the football market. At just 150 grams the v1.10 SL features a supersoft and ultrathin premium microfiber upper material. The one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilizing a carbon fiber insert in the midfoot to minimize weight and to increase the stability of the shoe – notably improving speed and overall performance on the field. The v1.10 SL features the unique PUMA AptoLast which mimics the natural shape of the foot.

Puma used the limited edition concept v1.815 Ferrari boot as the starting point for a boot that wouldn’t look out of place in a 100m dash. Usain Bolt is the fastest man on the planet and these boots would definitely suit him. Although the v1.10 SL’s are light, they are certainly not child’s play. The upper’s superlight micorfibre synthetic material gives you great ball feel as it is super soft and comfortable – yet highly abrasion-resistant and durable.
Stability is provided by the Pebax outsole which is bonded to the upper. An external heel counter is also shaped and bonded to further enhance stability and support. The SL features Carbon Fibre in the boots’ outsole, enhancing player movement through reactivity, flexibilty and midfoot stability.

The v1.10 SL was created with only one thing in mind – to give you the confidence to be your fastest. A small tin of tuna weighs 170grams… with less than that on each foot, you will no doubt be quick off the mark. The boot premieres in a smart looking White/Royal/Black colourway.
