PUMA EVOSPEED
PUMA have introduce the evoSPEED, the groundbreaking performance collection that for the first time in the Sportlifestyle brand’s history, features product offerings for all PUMA sport categories. Inspired by the Usain Bolt – the World’s Fastest Man, the collection answers every athlete’s need for speed by taking performance technology and innovations and incorporating them in footwear and apparel developed for running, football, motorsport, golf, cricket and indoor sports. evoSPEED will be available from 1 June 2012.
Designed under the criteria of “light, flex, and fit”, all evoSPEED footwear features lightweight materials, increased flexibility and an optimized fit that enables a greater freedom of movement without compromising support, to enhance speed. For the first time in PUMA’s history, the classic Formstripe has been changed and a new lightening version, a signature graphic that emphasizes speed and harkens back to Usain Bolt, will be featured on the complete evoSPEED footwear collection.

The evoSPEED 1 will be worn by a host of PUMA’s key football athletes such as Sergio Aguero and Mario Gomez – who will wear them in the European Championships.

Obviously at TRW we are most interested in the new White/Limoges/Red football boots that form for part of the collection –the evoSPEED 1 FG – which will be worn by PUMA’s top football players including Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez. The next generation in PUMA’s Speed silo, the evoSPEED 1 FG is one of the lightest boots in the market and is designed to help players achieve top speed.

The upper features a soft and ultrathin microfiber material whilst stability is provided by the internal EverFit cage. The anatomically engineered lightweight one-piece outsole provides stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to minimize weight and to maximize its flexibility and reactivity. The evoSPEED 1 FG features an external heel counter which secures an excellent heel fit and the new PUMA evoAptoLast which provides an industry leading fit.

Along with Aguero and football the evoSPEED styles will be worn by PUMA’s key athletes in running (e.g. Usain Bolt), motorsport (e.g. Fernando Alonso), golf (e.g. Rickie Fowler), cricket (e.g. Yuvraj Singh) and indoor sports (e.g. Luc Abalo) this summer and beyond.

PUMA RAZZLE DAZZLE CAMOUFLAGE TEST SPEED BOOTS

We thought Adidas’ Lethal Zone teaser campaign was truly unique but now Puma have released a pair of boots that is just as unique – and a Limited Edition!

First spotted being worn and tested in training by Sergio Aguero, Puma have released a very limited number (50 each in the UK and USA) of what they have called the ‘Razzle Dazzle’ camouflage colourway – a test concept prototype for their upcoming speed boots.

The unique patterning is an innovative form of camouflage, previously used on military ships and was known as ‘Razzle Dazzle’. Its purpose was to confuse the enemy with a design which makes it difficult to know exactly the speed and direction it is moving and by car manufacturers when concealing a new model.

Masked in black and white, there is no hiding the potential of PUMA’s new Special Edition Speed Boot. Expect the final release to be a lightweight bott with a single-piece synthetic upper and an engineered outsole.

PUMA V1.11 MUNICH
Puma have a habit of release some great looking limited edition boots such as the v1.815 Ferrari and Puma PowerCat Tokyo. Now, to mark this year’s Champions League Final being played in their own back yard, down the road in Munich, Puma release two very special editions of their v1.11 and PowerCat football boots with plenty of local pride on display.

Munich is the capital of the German state of Bavaria and this special edition design is inspired by the feature the white and blue lozenge design of the Rautenflagge, the state flag and the official gold and black colours of the capital Munich.

Engineered for speed, the v1.11 Munich football boots are made from a premium microfibre synthetic that’s soft, lightweight and durable for superb ball feel and a snug fit. Held in place with an elastic strap and velcro fastening, the v1.11 Munich’s lace cover provides these Puma football boots with a smooth striking surface.

The carbon fibre plate incorporated in the TPU sole plate reduces the weight of the v1.11 and distributes pressure evenly on firm ground. The lightweight Pebax frame offers stability and also decreases the weight of these Puma football boots further while pointed studs give the v1.11 Munich reliable firm ground grip.

The 11/12 season has been one of the most successful for Puma’s speed boot silo, highlighted by their growing roster of European heavyweights including Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure & Mario Gomez. We can certainly expect to see Gomez wearing this colourway in the Final if Bayern Munich make it past Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The new Puma Munich boot collection including the White/Blue/Gold V1.11 and PowerCat 1.12 is available to pre-order from today.

PUMA V1.11 – CHARCOAL/WHITE/FLOU PEACH
We have seen some outlandish colourways since Puma launched their V series boots – especially on the V1.10. So far the V1.11 has been a little more understated and Puma have now released what is probably one of the V series most understated colourway – Charcoal/White/Flourescent Peach.

With the likes of Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez wearing the V1.11, Puma’s speed bot has become a major player in the speed boot market.

The v1.11 is the third generation football boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, providing the perfect fit by perfectly replicating the unique PUMA Aptolast.

A super soft premium lightweight microfiber upper material with covered central lacing provides a snug fit, smooth kicking area and excellent ball feel. The forefoot’s pressure is distributed optimally by the carbon fiber composite in the forefoot.

The new v1.11 boot‘s external heel counter and a Pebax frame provide support to the outsole. A TPU composite reinforces the midfoot area and helps avoid midfoot bending. The increased stability of the soleplate and pointed stud configuration enable optimal traction and manoeuvrability.

The Charcoal/White/Fluo Peach colourway will be available in both a synthetic upper as well as a K-Leather version.
PUMA V1.11 – FLUORESCENT PINK/NEW NAVY/WHITE
The V1.11 has performed well in the speed catagory despite being up against the Vapor and F50 ranges and boasts some of the games deadliest goal scorers with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez all wearing a boot that incorporates premium lightweight technologies. Having released five previous colourways, Puma have now unveiled their second white based colourway - Fluorescent Pink/New Navy/White .

Puma have released their third ladies V1.11 colourway which follows on from their launch Vaporous Gray/Fluo Green/Midnight Navy and limited edition Pink colourway they released as part of their Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

Now this striking Palace Blue/White/Hot Coral colourway has arrived and we once again think that there will be a few men left disappointed that this is a ladies colourway.

PUMA POWERCAT 1.12 – METALLIC BLUE/BLACK IRIS/WHITE/ORANGE
Puma’s PowerCat 1.12 is a performance boot which features the most advanced PUMA technologies; a perfect combination of engineering and comfort. Marquee PowerCat wearer Cesc Fabregas said that the boot ‘seriously impressed’ him when he launched them back in October.

It has been a great few months for both Cesc and the PowerCat 1.12 with the Puma power boot quickly building a good reputation amongst players and boot fans. Now Puma have released their third PowerCat 1.12 colourway – Metallic Blue/Black Iris/White/Orange.

The PowerCat 1.12 soft K-Leather upper features the new PUMA 3D DUO Power Shooting Technology, applied to the kicking area on the inside of the boot. Made from an innovative thermoplastic material with two different degrees of hardness, the boot has the advantage of being both highly responsive with extremely high rebound properties. A lightweight microfiber material in the lateral quarter supports the midfoot and helps to keep the weight of the boot to a minimum.

The PUMA PowerLast, an evolution of the PUMA AptoLast, follows the foot’s natural contours, providing a glove like fit allowing the upper to mould to players fit. Coupled with the stable yet flexible outsole, the PowerCat 1.12 gives the best possible comfort. Optimal support, stability and protection are provided by the asymmetrical external TPU-injected heel counter.
