ADIDAS PREDATOR X – BLACK/BLACK/SHALE
Along with the new Scarlet/White/Black AdiPure IV boots Adidas have released these Black/Black/Shale Predator X colourway boots. Blacked out boots have a special place in the heart of boot fans and these will certainly be added to the wish list of fans around the world.
ADIDAS WOMEN’S COLOURWAYS
Adidas recently released a bunch of new colourways as well as the all new AdiZero and AdiZero Prime. Along with the new boots and colourways for men Adidas released 5 ladies specific colourways – two for the new AdiZero, two for the Predator X and a great looking new AdiPure IV colourway.
First up is this Purple/White/Cyan AdiZero colourway. Adidas released a pair of the previous AdiZero in a similar White/Night Sky/Cyan colour combination – which we spotted in the Premier League on West Bromwich Albion’s Jerome Thomas.
We are really disappointed that the second AdiZero colourway is for ladies. This White/Black/Cyan/Electricity colourway look awesome and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if a Premier League player gives these a try.
Next is the two colourways for the Predator X. The smooth looking White/Blue/Acid Buzz colourway will certainly be a hit. The Women’s Predator X is the same boot as the men’s version with one or two small adjustments – for example it has a smaller heel and is slightly thinner.
The second Predator X colourway is this New Navy/Acid Buzz/Splash colourway. This is possibly the least feminine colourway but they still look great.
The last boot is this White/New Navy/Argentina Blue AdiPure IV colourway. Of all the boots we have featured our favorite is the White/Black/Cyan/Electricity AdiZero colourway but these come in a close second.
Unfortunately none of these colourways will be available in South Africa.
BECKHAM TRAINS WITH SPURS FIRST TEAM SQUAD
David Beckham arrived at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground yesterday with question marks still hanging over whether the England star will pull on a Spurs shirt or not. At present Beckham will only train with Spurs – until the 10th of February.
Negotiations between Tottenham and Beckham’s club, Los Angeles Galaxy, are still on going, with Spurs – and especially Harry Redknapp – hoping that a deal can be reached. The two stumbling blocks seem to be his wages and the date he must return to America. Spur won’t feel that it is worth their while to sign Beckham if he has to be back in the USA earlier in February.
Beckham trained with the first team squad today and seemed to be enjoying him self as he participated in all the drills and exercises with the squad including fellow England teammates Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe and understudy Aaron Lennon. Talking about fellow Englishmen… Spurs fans would have been pleased to see Beckham’s former Real Madrid teammate Jonathan Woodgate in training (far left). The England centre back has struggled with a groin injury and hasn’t played for over a year.
We think Beckham looked pretty good in the Spurs training gear. His bespoke White/Uniform Blue/Silver Adidas Predator X boots would look great with the Spurs kit. Beckham, who trained in the number 77 kit, was well know for wearing number 7 for Manchester United and England but had to change when he arrived at Real Madrid. He was given 23 which he took to the LA Galaxy. It will be interesting to see what number he wore if a loan deal can be agreed. I wont be 7 nor 23 as Aaron Lennon and Carlo Cudicini already have those squad numbers.
“It is great to have him here. Everybody has worked hard to get him here and we were hoping that he could come and play, obviously.” Said Harry Redknapp. “He is a fit lad and looks like he’s in a great condition and looks after himself. He is a model professional.”
NEW ADIDAS PREDATOR X COLOURWAYS: WHITE/BLACK/MACCAW GREEN & MACCAW GREEN/WHITE/BLACK
Along with the launch of the new AdiZero and AdiZero Prime, Adidas have released two new colourways for the Predator X. The Predator X currently leads the Premier League top scoring list and we hope that these colourways bring continued success to this iconic boot. The first colourway is a very clean looking White/Black/Maccaw Green colourway. This is also part of the UEFA Champions League collection and replaces the White/Night Sky/Cyan version.
The second colourway is made up of the same colour combination but this time in a different order. The new Maccaw Green/White/Black are certainly eye-catchers! Adidas have certainly improved on their colourway offerings – especially with the Predator range.
GERRARD REMAINS IN CUSTOM PREDATOR X
We spotted Steven Gerrard during training for Liverpool’s Europa League’s clash with Napoli in a pair of the new Black/White/Electricity colourway Adidas Predator X boots. We wondered whether the Reds’ skipper would opt for this new colourway or whether he would revert to his custom MiAdidas Black/Gold/Red colourway.
Well the talismanic midfielder started on the bench for the Reds and was wearing the Black/White/Electricity colourway during his warm ups:
Liverpool were down 1-0 when Roy Hodgson called on his England ace and Gerrard certainly did the job required as he hit a hat-trick in the space of just 14 minutes. Gerrard is famous for his exploits in the Liverpool jersey and this will go down as another. The interesting part of it all was the fact that he had changed back into his bespoke Black/Gold/Red colourway and didn’t opt for the new Black/White/Electricity colurway. Maybe he was just loosening them up for this weekend’s big game against Chelsea.

Adidas have released their newest colourway offerings just in time for you to start planning your holiday purchases. With the release of the new Electricity/Poppy/Black and Black/White/Electricity Predator X boots comes the new White/Uniform Blue DB colourway.
Beckham is an icon in Predator circles – an achievement not to be laughed off, as the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Patrick Vieira, Raul, Michael Ballack, Xavi and Steven Gerrard have all been avid Predator wearers as well. Beckham has worn a handful of bespoke colourways and Adidas have now given him this new White/Uniform Blue colourway. They replace his previous Red/White colourway which were supposed to make their debut during the World Cup. This new White/Uniform Blue combination will compliment his LA Galaxy kit much better than the red DBs.
Unfortunately the White/Uniform Blue DB Predator X colourway will not be available in South Africa.
NEW ADIDAS PREDATOR X COLOURWAYS
Adidas have released two new Predator X colourways – one of which will certainly stand out on the pitch.
In 1999, Adidas released the limited edition Predator Accelerator Liga Editions – a boot which quickly became a fan favourite and now Adidas have unveiled a new Predator X colourway with the same colour combination. Electricity/Black/Poppy is the most eye-catching colourway to date.
The Electricity/Black/Poppy Predator X will be available in South Africa early December.
The second release is a slightly more modest looking colourway. The new Black/White/Electricity is the third boot to be released with Black as the base colour after the original Black/Red/White and Black/Cyan versions. We think this combination is super classy.
The Black/White/Electricity Predator X will be available in South Africa early January.
BECKHAM RETURNS WITH RED ADIDAS PREDATOR X DB
This weekend saw David Beckham make his long awaited return to competitive football since the Achilles tendon injury he picked up while on loan for AC Milan. The injury put him on the sidelines for six months – the longest injury-induced absence in his 17-year career.
Beckham played the last 20 minutes of LA Galaxy’s clash with Columbus Crew at the Home Depot Centre after coming on for Juninho. The 35 year old looked eager to impress – maybe a little too eager as he was booked just 4 minutes after coming on for a foul on Emmanuel Ekpo.
The ex-England skipper’s desire to impress is fueled by his keenness to return to the England fold. “I’d like to be available to play for England. If I’m fit then I’m sure the manager will consider me,” said Beckham, “As positive a person as I am when I did the injury, doubts go through your mind, ‘Am I ever going to play again?’. Being back out there and being fit again makes it sweet.” Beckham knows he still has a lot of work ahead of him before he can expect a call from Capello. “It’s been a quick recovery and I’m happy with that but I’ve never been out of the game for such a long time and after being out there 10 minutes, I was dying. I finished strong, though, and I’m happy to come through it.”
The other exciting part about Beckham’s return was the fact that we got to see him for the first time in a competitive match wearing his bespoke Adidas Predator X DB boots. The England star was seen in a pair in South Africa but Saturday marked the first time he wore them in a match situation and we must say that they looked great on the pitch!
Beckham’s boots are truly unique. The Collegiate Red/White Predators were designed specifically for him but the customization doesn’t stop there. Beckham can’t seem to move on from the PowerSwerve sole-plate which was well disguised by Adidas who re-configured the studs and ‘coloured in’ the PowerServe chamber on his boots.
Beckham and Adidas have a long history and it was also the first time Beckham wore a new Adidas Tech-Fit designed jersey. Adidas are the contracted kit supplier to all the MLS teams. This is their offering to LA Galaxy for the 2010 season:
ADIDAS PREDATOR X COLOURWAYS
One of the most iconic boots in world football is the Adidas Predator and the Predator X has so far lived up to the standard set by its predecessors. First seen with the Liverpool kit launch images, Adidas have released the Champions Edition version of the popular boot.
We really enjoy the Champions League star detailing on the classy White/Cyan/Night Sky colourway:
The second colourway is a classic Black with Cyan detailing. Similar to the original Black/Red/Silver version, the new Black/Cyan/Silver colourway will surely be a hit.
Unfortunately this particular colourway will not be available in South Africa.
ADIDAS PREDATOR X – RUGBY
It doesn’t happen often that footballers are seen wearing boots originally made for rugby players but these days there is a lot of cross-over between the two sports. It is normally the rugby boys who are seen sporting football designed or colourwayed boots. That could change now however with Adidas’ launch of this great looking Silver/Blue/Black colourway. We don’t expect a flurry of players flocking to wear these but don’t be surprised if they make an appearance on a football field somewhere.
