NIKE CTR360 MAESTRI II -BLACK/WHITE/ORANGE

Posted on Monday, March 19, 2012 in Boots

The Nike CTR360 Maestri was a massive hit upon their release and with a few simple tweaks from the original, the CTR360 Maestri II continues to impress. A refined heel and toe area adds comfort while the revamped pass pad enhances touch and control.

ctr-360-black-orange

The CTR360 has a unique two-tone colour scheme and features white and black once again but this time with eye-catching orange accents. This colourway would be a perfect match for both the home and away Dutch kit.

The Nike CTR360 Maestri II is designed for excellent touch and total control, whether you’re receiving or passing the ball. Along the instep, a hard pass pad makes for quick, accurate moves, and a soft receive pad is angled for better friction to help reduce ball spin. Plus, dampening pods and an expanded ball-control area deliver excellent feel.

ctr-360-black-orange-sole

Dual-density, direct-inject studs in the forefoot and sharp, strong heel studs, which help lock down the planted foot while the other controls the ball.

You can expect to see this new colourway making their on field debut this coming weekend.

NIKE ALTERNATE COLOURWAYS

Posted on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Boots

Along with the launch of their main colourways, Nike has launched a set of support colourways for the T90 Laser IV, CTR360 Maestri II and Mercurial Superfly III. The new collection is set to make their on field debut this weekend and although expect to see most Nike supported players wearing the main colourways, we are sure some will opt for these alternate colourways.

The new T90 Laser IV Dark Grey/Solar Red/Black colourway doesn’t seem to go with any kit however this K-Leather version screams Manchester United or Liverpool. We know Wayne Rooney won’t be in this Red/White/Black colourways – despite them being a perfect match for his Nike Manchester United kit.

nike-t90-laser-iv-kl-red-white-anthracite

Nike have gone for a slightly more understated Blue/White/Blue colourway for the CTR360 Maestri II than we are used to and followed that up with this Dark Shadow/Volt colourway. We expect to Manchester City star Mario Balotelli wearing this colourway as he was spotted training in them this week.

nike-ctr360-maestri-ii-dark-shadow-volt

We have already seen a host of players showing off their new Metallic Purple/Silver Mercurial Vapor Superfly III boots on their Twitter accounts but we have no doubt that a few will opt for this great looking White/Blue/Volt colourway. One player we are pretty sure will wear this colourway is Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric who seems to favour white colourways.

NIKE SUPERFLY III, TIEMPO LEGEND IV, CTR360 MAESTRI II & T90 LASER IV COLOURWAYS

Posted on Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Boots

Nike recently released their brand new T90 Laser IV football boots and now unveiled new colourways for the rest of their silos with the Mercurial Superfly III, Tiempo Legend IV and CTR360 Maestri II all getting a colour upgrade.

Mercurial Superfly III – Volt/Purple/Retro

superfly-iii-volt-purple-retro

Nike’s speed boots boast some of the most exciting players on the plant with the likes of Crisitiano Ronaldo, Robinho and Neymar all opting for the Superfly. We don’t expect Ronaldo to go into this new, great looking, Volt/Purple/Retro colourway but the Brazilian pair of RObinho and Neymar should feel right at home in this colourway.

CTR360 Maestri II – White/Silver/Imperial Purple

nike-ctr360

We have always liked what Nike has with the CTR by dividing the boot in two with the two colours. This new release is a smart looking combination of White/Silver/Imperial Purple and we can’t wait to see it in action. The small flashes of Volt on the heel and under-sole really add to the colourway.

Tiempo Legend IV – White/Gold/Volt

tiempo-legend-iv

The third Tiempo Legend IV colourway to arrive is reminiscent of a colourway Nike released for the IV’s predecessor the Tiempo Legend III. Manchester United’s Chicarito stills wears his White/Volt Tiempo Legend III boots and we wonder whether he will now make the switch to the Legend IV with the release of this White/Gold/Volt colourway.

T90 Laser IV – Black/Tour Yellow/Silver

t90-laser-iv-black

The launch of the new T90 Laser IV was focused on the White/Orange/Black colourway Rooney and Torres wore last weekend but it certainly didn’t slip our attention that Nike had released a K-Leather version of their famous power boot which arrived in a Black/Tour Yellow/Silver colourway.

NEW SUPERFLY III, T90 LASER III AND CTR360 MAESTRI II COLOURWAYS

Posted on Monday, June 20, 2011 in Boots

Over the past little while we have seen a host of new boots released. Puma, Umbro and Adidas have all released new boots and colourways and now it is Nike’s turn to update their colourways. Nike recently launched the new Tiempo Legend IV boots and have followed that up with a new colourways across all their silos. We have been lucky enough to glimpse these new colourways during the European U21 Championships, Gold Cup and other international friendlies that have happened but now we get close up look as Nike official unveil new colourways for the Superfly II, T90 Laser III and CTR360 Maestri II football boots.

We start with the ‘old man’ in the Nike range, the T90 Laser III. Nike will replace the Laser III with the brand new Laser IV in October, so we expect this to be one of (if not) the last colourways for the Laser III. And what a great looking colourway it is! We first got a glimpse of this Blue Dusk/Volt/Black colourway on the feet of Chris Smallng while the Manchester United star was training with the England u21 side – and we liked them immediately.

nike-t90-laser-iii-blue-dusk-volt-black

Nike T90 Laser III – Blue Dusk/Volt/Black

The T90 Laser III Elite boots feature a large striking zone thanks to the off-center lacing. ShotShield technology enables more powerful shots and passes while raised TPU fins on the instep increase friction on the ball adding swerve control in crosses, shots and passes. The Elite’s Carbon Fiber chassis enables them to be lighter and stronger than the standard model and offers a higher energy return. Lightweight direct-injected TPU blades provide balance, traction, and instant acceleration in every direction.

Nike’s CTR360 Meastri boots were revolutionary when they arrived on the market and that momentum has been kept by the CTR360 Meastri II. This is the 5th colourway Nike have released for the Maestri II and think this could be their best yet. The new Black/White/Challenge Red colourway is a classy looking pair of boots and we expect these to be a major hit with boot fans around the world.

nike-ctr-360-meastri-ii-black-white-challenge -red

Nike CTR360 Maestri II – Black/White/Challenge Red

The CTR360 Maestri II boots are designed for the player looking to master control on the pitch. Control the tempo with accurate passing, dictating the pace and creating chances. The Kanga-Lite synthetic leather upper reduces the weight while still providing superb comfort and ball feel. Injected instep pad ensure a great first touch while grip-like traction allow precise ball control and leads to precise distribution and placement of passes. Damping pad zones on the lateral forefoot give great first touch ball control. Direct- inject, bladed TPU studs on the bottom of the boot provides excellent stability and superior traction in every move.

Nike’s Mercurial range have been at the forefront of speed boots for years and their current offering, the Mercurial Vapor Superfly III once again boast some amazing technology. After two eye-catching colourways (and Cristiano Ronaldo’s of course), Nike have released a slightly more understated colourway for the Superfly III. Introducing the Granite/Purple/White/Red colourway:

The Superfly III are designed for speed. Flywire technology in the upper adds comfort by providing anatomical fit while enabling weight reduction. Nike’s innovative Adaptive Traction Technology and Pressure-activated traction system provide excellent stability and traction allow for superb acceleration. The glass-fiber composite soleplate adds strength and support.

NIKE CTR360 MAESTRI II GOLD/BLACK/WHITE

Posted on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Boots

ctr360-maestri-ii-gold-black

We thought Nike were all done with new colourways but then they unveiled this Gold/Black/White CTR360 Maestri II colourway. Set to be the ‘secondary’ colourway behind the new White/Black/Tour Yellow, word is these will not be available in Elite. This new colourway is very different to all the colourways have Nike have released. The new CTR360 Maestri II boots have been very clean looking while this new colourway has a more classic look to it. We think this is a really great colourway and, despite not being an Elite colourway, hope to see them in the Premier League soon.

NEW NIKE COLOURWAYS

Posted on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Boots

Nike have released new colourways for their T90 Laser III and CTR360 Maestri II and Tiempo Legend III boots.

The T90 Laser III arrives in a clean, crisp looking White/Black/Chlorine Blue colourway. The boot is predominantly white (so we expect so see Fernando Torres in a pair of these) while the strike-zone on the instep and the silicon pods are black. The heel counter and sole plate feature a great looking pattern detail. The colourway is brought to life by the suttle ‘chlorine’ highlight around the Nike tick on the outstep and the sole.

nike-white-black-chlorine-t90-laser-iii

Nike seem to be toning down their colourways with the new White/Black/Tour Yellow CTR360 Maestri II colourway also having a very clean look to it.The bold vibrant yellow and white are complimented by the addition of a silver trim and the contrasting black laces and Nike tick.

nike-white-black-tour-yellow-ctr360-maestri-ii-elite

nike-white-black-tour-yellow-ctr360-maestri-ii-side

Nike have also, along with the new synthetic T90 Laser III colourway, released a colourway specifically for the K-Leather version. Obsidian is a colour we have seen used often by Nike and have used it as the base colour for this new Dark Obsidian/Metallic Silver/Blue K-Leather version.

nike-obsidian-metallic-silver-blue-t90-nike-laser-iii-k-leather

nike-obsidian-metallic-silver-blue-t90-nike-laser-iii-k-leather-side

The final colourway is the new Team Red/Metallic Platinum/Deep Burgundy Tiempo Legend III boots. The Tiempos are a legendary boot series and we look forward to the new IV, which will be replacing the III soon. This colourway reminds o us of the Oxblood Speciali and judging by the reception those had we believe this release will be a successful one for Nike. They will look great with the Liverpool, Manchester United and AC Milan kits so we expect to see the likes of  Joe Cole, Park Ji-Sung and Andrea Pirlo in the new colourway.

nike-team-red-matallic-platinum-tiempo-legend-iii

nike-team-red-matallic-platinum-tiempo-legend-iii-side

All of the colourways – with the exception of the K-Leather T90 Laser III – will be available in both ‘standard’ and Elite versions. There as been no word on a new Vapor VI and Superfy II colourway which makes us wonder if the new Vapor VII and Superfly III are on their way… Stay tuned to TRW for more on that.

ANDRÉS INIESTA TAKES CONTROL IN NEW NIKE VIRAL

Posted on Friday, January 28, 2011 in Boots, Football

Nike have launched a new digital film “Nike CTR 360 Maestri II: Take Control Andrés Iniesta”, featuring global football star Andres Iniesta showcasing his playmaker skills and mastery of the midfield wearing the new CTR 360 Maestri II boots, to set up his teammates for numerous scoring chances.

Iniesta1

The viewer is drawn into the heat and intensity of the midfield battleground, with Andres Iniesta always at the heart of the action seamlessly transitioning between control-orientated training drills and fast paced game situations.  Incisive passing and link play with FC Barcelona teammates Eric Abidal and Thiago is interspersed with pinpoint accuracy receiving and distributing the ball at speed.

As the action unfolds, we’re reminded of Iniesta’s athletic grace, his precise control, and ability to be quicker and sharper with the ball than the opposition, always primed to make that killer pass and take control of the game.

“In a packed midfield time and space is at a premium, so tight control and that extra second to make a game changing pass is key to my success,” said Andres Iniesta. “The CTR 360 Maestri II gives me great control on the ball and the confidence to create opportunities that unlock the opposition defence and ultimately win games.”

The “Nike CTR 360 Maestri II: Take Control Andrés Iniestafilm was created by Anders Stake and Javier Malagon, directed by Scott Lyon and can be viewed at www.nikefootball.com

The CTR360 Maestri II boot was worn by Andres Iniesta is available at retail and at www.nikestore.com .
