ADIDAS UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALE MUNICH BALL
The UEFA Champions League will kick-off once again when the round of Last 16 begins on February 14th. Ahead of the knock-out stage Adidas have unveiled the new ball design for the final set to be held in Munich, Germany.

In a change from previous season the new Finale Munich ball will be used throughout the knock-out stage and not just on just on the 19th May 2012 at the Allianz Arena. The iconic Champions League star motif stands out beautifully with this White/Slime/Cyan/Indigo colourway unique design elements.

The adidas Finale Munich 12 ball has received the highest FIFA rating for weight, water uptake, shape and size retention. The PSC texture, an advancement from the ‘pimple’ design, aids power, swerve and control in all weather conditions.

Star shaped panels are joined by revolutionary thermal bonding technology for perfect aerodynamics. Negating the need for seams and stitching benefits the ball prolonging the life and giving it a more predictable trajectory, better touch and lower water uptake.
ADIDAS PREDATOR ADIPOWER – SLIME/NAVY/WHITE
Adidas’ AdiPower Predator has been a resounding success since its launch last year. Now Adidas unveil their latest (10th including two David Beckham’s colourways) colour combination – Slime/Navy/White.

The AdiPower Predator features a Taurus calf leather upper with a new re-engineered silicon rubber Predator Element is split into two zones. The first zone is an aggressive, structured surface which integrates the Adidas stripes is the ‘Power Zone’. The 3D fins give rebound upon ball impact, generating additional striking power from the boot. The second ‘Swerve Zone’ features a hexagonal pattern. The even and soft surface provides a longer contact time with the ball, resulting in higher friction and ultimately higher swerve.

Adidas’ groundbreaking SprintFrame outsole features a redesigned Predator PowerSpine from the Predator X. This allows additional energy transfer directly from the foot into the ball by preventing the foot from over bending while still allowing for comfortable running movements thanks to the flex grooves which keep the element highly flexible in the right direction.

Adidas like to use new colours across their silos. We saw their ‘Warning’ and ‘Electricity’ colours being used extensively and it seems that ‘Slime’ – making its Predator debut – has joined the bright colour revolution.
LEO MESSI BALLON D’OR ADIDAS ADIZERO MICOACH BOOTS

Having celebrated Leo Messi’s third consecutive Ballon d’Or Player of the Year award with short film, Adidas have now commissioned a stunning pair of Gold/White/Black F50 adiZero MiCoach football boots to mark the occasion.

The Argentina and Barcelona star has won La Liga title, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup with Barcelona over the past few months and added more personal accolades on Monday night at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Messi’s new ‘M’ shield logo features on the outstep with each of his Ballon D’or wins within each of the classic Adidas stripes. ‘World Player of the Year’ and ‘gracias a todos’ – ‘Thanks to All’ are inscribed on the insteps.

Messi is expected to wear these bespoke, once-off, boots this weeknd. The boots feature all the usually Leather AdiZero MiCoach technology but have a unique Gold/White/Black colourway.
ADIDAS ADIZERO MICOACH – BLACK/ELECTRICTY/CORE ENERGY
Along with new Prime Blue/Core Energy/White colourway, Adidas have unveiled this Black/Electricity/Core Energy colourway. Set to be worn by the likes of Kalou, Podolski, Robben and Benzema, this alternate colourway is sure to catch the eye on the pitch.

The arrival of the AdiZero MiCoach football boots was a game changer as the miCoach technology enabled both professional and amateur footballers to analyse their personal speed, distance and work rate during a game.
The adiZero F50 boot includes a built in cavity within the outsole which houses the revolutionary miCoach Sensor (Data Capture Chip). The miCoach Sensor captures 360 degrees movement and measures key performance metrics including speed, average speed (recorded every second), maximum speed (recorded every five seconds), number of sprints, distance covered, distance at high intensity levels as well as steps and stride rates. The on-board memory stores up to seven hours of all measurements during your game or training and then wirelessly transmits the on pitch performance data to your tablet, PC or MAC.

The adiZero F50 miCoach features technologies such as Adidas’ Sprintweb which provides stability during high speed movements. The lightweight Sprintskin upper is a revolutionary single layer synthetic which provides incredible ball-feeling and reduced weight. Adidas groundbreaking Sprintframe uses geometrics and new stud construction to offer the perfect balance between lightweight and stability.

The new Black/Electricity/Core Energy will be available to pre-order towards the end of the month and is only available in synthetic and not a leather version. Despite this boot a support colourway to the new Prime Blue/Core Energy/White we expect these to be a huge hit with boot fans.
ADIDAS ADIPURE 11PRO SL – BLACK/WHITE/ENERGY
The Adidas AdiPure 11Pro boot haven’t even hit pitches yet but have already generated a huge amount of buzz. Following on from their unveiling Adidas have unveiled the AdiPure 11Pro SL. The adidas adiPure SL released last year became an instant fan favorite despite their lack of on field support and we expect a similar story with the new 11Pro SL.

Combining super lightweight innovation with a classic feel, the new adiPure 11Pro SL weigh a mere 180g – 60g lighter than the standard 11Pro. The 11Pro SL’s upper combines a super soft K-leather (the standard 11 Pro features a Taurus leather upper) with adidas’ revolutionary single layer Sprintskin synthetic.

The outsole on the 11Pro SL is the same a Traxion SprintFrame with triangular traxion stud configuration as on the AdiZero compared to the conical stud shapes found on the standard issues. The lightweight sole also integrates adidas’ miCoach technology through the cavity in the outsole. An anatomically moulded EVA insole and suede synthetic leather lining provide additional comfort.
Available from February 1st, the Black/White/Core Energy AdiPure 11Pro SL will be available to pre-order from January 13th.
ADIDAS ADIZERO MICOACH – PRIME BLUE/CORE ENERGY/WHITE

Adidas made us wait a few months but have released their first colourway update for the AdiZero MiCoach since their launch in September last year. Set to be worn by the likes of Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale, David Silva and Ashley Young, we have to admit that this new Prime Blue/Core Energy/White colourway is a great colourway.

The arrival of the AdiZero MiCoach football boots was a game changer as the miCoach technology enabled both professional and amateur footballers to analyse their personal speed, distance and work rate during a game.

ADIDAS ADIPURE 11PRO MICOACH
Adidas unveil the all new MiCoach enabled AdiPure 11Pro

Adidas’ AdiPure range has taken a back seat over the past few months with the rise of the AdiZero and success of the AdiPower Predator. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Frank Lampard and Xavi Alonso are three of the main AdiPure wearers now after the likes of Karim Benzema and Kaka moved to the AdiZero and Predator ranges respectively. But Adidas are set to reinvent the AdiPure range with the release of the all new AdiPure 11Pro.
The AdiPure range became an instant ‘heritage’ boot thanks to their retro design and classic soft leather upper. But just they did so successfully with the F50 range, Adidas have started from scratch with this silo and the results are spectacular!

The past characteristics of comfort, style and touch haven’t been lost however. The upper is made of the highest quality Taurus leather providing excellent fit and comfort as well as superb ball touch and feel. The Leather is also coated with an ultra-thin ‘Duracoating’ which protects the leather in areas of high abrasion.

While the upper is predominantly leather, Adidas have incorporated a midfoot ‘360’ support saddle’. This full engineered, ultra-thin, anatomically shaped saddle features the famous 3 stripes and adds midfoot stability during lateral movements. An anatomically moulded EVA insole assist movement and improve fit while a soft suede synthetic leather lining provides additional comfort, whilst reducing any foot movement within the boots for a more secure fit.

Easily the biggest change from the previous models is the addition of Adidas SPRINTFRAME. The SprintFrame arrived in 2010 and has revolutionized all of Adidas’ football boot silos since. The SprintFrame featured on the 11Pro is a little different from the one of the AdiZero however it does incorporate MiCoach technology.

MiCoach technology measures your performance statistics measuring time, distance, speed, speed zones and number of sprints during a training session or a match all of which is stored as the adidas miCoach Speed cell. When you’ve finished your training session or game, you can send your data wirelessly from the miCoach Speed Cell to your PC, MAC or iPhone to view your results and share the results on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Then check or compare them against your friends, team mates, opponents and even professional players.

The AdiPure 11Pro’s SprintFrame features new three part dual cushioning Traxion studs which have an internal anti-shock tubes and high abrasion resistant ground contact layer. A FlexZone in on the forefoot ball area offer greater flexibility and aid linear motion. A split between the 3rd and 4th toes called PlusFlex aids ground adaption and provides a higher energy efficiency during later movements.

We expect to see the likes of Lampard and Schweinsteiger in the White/Black/High Energy colourway while Alonso and Barry may opt for the Black/White/Slime colourway.
All in all Adidas have upped their game with the new AdiPure 11Pro and we think have produced what could be the boot of year. Arriving in two great looking colourways – White/Black/High Energy and Black/White/Slime the 11Pros are a stunning boot and are available to pre-order now hitting stores 1st February.
ADIDAS CELEBRATE MESSI’S 3RD BALLON D’OR WIN

Following Lionel Messi’s 3rd consecutive win of the Ballon d’Or, Adidas have compiled a video of Messi, their main F50 AdiZero wearer, interacting, playing and growing up. The video is voiced over by the man himself and is all about him thanking the fans for everything he has achieved.
ADIDAS COMOEQUA – OFFICIAL MATCH BALL OF THE 2012 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS
Introducing the adidas ‘Comoequa‘, the Official Match Ball for the 2012 Orange African Cup of Nations. The name takes its inspiration from the Como River which runs through both host nations – Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, and the Equator which runs throughout Africa and unites both host nations.

The adidas Comoequa features a bright yellow base colour inspired by the vibrancy of African culture, and links to the flags of both tournament hosts — Gabon and Equatorial Guinea through colour markings on the central triangular panels. The Comoequa, shares the same construction as the Tango 12, the Official Match Ball for the UEFA Euro 2012™, and is the third ball adidas has produced for the tournament, having started as the Official Supplier of the African Cup of Nations in 2008.
Complementing the design, the adidas Comoequa features a series of triangular panels that are thermally bonded together to ensure a true, stable flight path. Covering each panel of the ball is a grip texture which supports boot to ball contact and enhances ball control. Beneath the outer surface of the ball lies a woven carcass and a new bladder for increased air retention and reduced water uptake.
The adidas Comoequa will be used on field during the African Cup of Nations which kicks off on January 21st when tournament hosts Equatorial Guinea take to the field at the Estadio de Bata in Bata. The adidas Comoequa is available for purchase in adidas retail outlets and associated stockists as of January 2012.
